About Tropiq Getaways

Tropiq Getaways is a regenerative travel initiative founded in 2021 with a simple belief: tourism should restore the places it depends on, not gradually deplete them.

Operating across the backwaters of Kochi and the highland forests of Mamalakandam, Tropiq Getaways has redesigned tourism around electric mobility, community-led storytelling, and heritage-linked livelihoods. From launching Kochi’s first private electric tourist boat to reviving demand for GI-tagged Pokkali rice and traditional Kannadi Paya craft, the initiative integrates environmental responsibility with economic resilience.

Approximately 40–60% of experience revenue flows directly into local communities through structured revenue-sharing models. The organisation supports farmers, artisans, tribal families, youth guides, jeep drivers, caterers, and local vendors while promoting low-impact travel practices.

Recognised under the Kerala Startup Mission and featured in national and international media, Tropiq Getaways demonstrates that regenerative tourism is not theoretical — it is commercially viable, locally rooted, and replicable.
